SIT is here to help you achieve your academic and career goals. By choosing SIT, you will get the best of both worlds. Not only will you gain a challenging academic education, you will also gain real-world experience thanks to our strong links with industry and employers. It combines the best of tradition with cutting-edge technology. With a history dating back to the 1880s, SIT has a proud record of quality education and training. It has also gained a reputation for innovation, developing New Zealand-leading qualifications, facilities and opportunities for students.
With over 13,000 students and more than 200 programmes, SIT offers wide range of academic, technical and professional subjects at postgraduate, graduate, bachelor, diploma and certificate levels. SIT is a member of the International Association of Universities. SIT is large enough to offer you variety and a student culture, yet small enough to retain a friendly atmosphere and personalised learning with small class sizes. Unlike many other institutions, SIT doesn't have lots of different fees and charges: its course fee and resource fee covers the vast majority of services students will need.
SIT’s three main campuses are located in Invercargill with other campuses located in Queenstown, Gore, Christchurch and Auckland. Students can study from anywhere in New Zealand and the world via SIT’s distance education faculty, SIT2LRN.
Combined with your dedication, it will help you achieve your academic and career goals – whatever they may be.
