Unitec offers a range of accommodation from studios to five-bedroom apartments, which are all self-catered. Each apartment (except for the studio) has a separate bedroom, lounge, bathroom (or two) and a well-equipped kitchen. You can choose to stay for a semester or a year.

Stay with a homestay family All homestay students have their own room and are provided with two meals a day during the week and three meals a day at the weekends. The homestay information and application form can be found online at www.accommodation.unitec.ac.nz
Finding your own accommodation
If you are looking for your own accommodation, please make sure you arrive in Auckland at least two weeks before your semester starts. Some houses, flats or apartments will not be furnished so you may need to purchase household items when you first move in. There is a huge variety of accommodation available. To secure this, you need to view the property and meet with the landlord to formally sign the tenancy agreement, so please do arrive in Auckland early! Tenancy and landlord details can be found on http://www.dbh.govt.nz/tenancy-agreement. A useful website for finding accommodation is www.trademe.co.nz. When selecting suburbs that are close to the Mt Albert campus, you can search for Kingsland, Mt Roskill, Mt Albert, Sandringham, Avondale and New Lynn.

New Zealand ASEAN Scholar Awards
The New Zealand-ASEAN Scholar Awards (NZAS) recognise New Zealand's close cultural, economic, and geographic ties with Southeast Asia. NZAS are offered for postgraduate level study and applications must be made through your home country.
New Zealand Development Scholarships
New Zealand Development Scholarships (NZDS) give candidates from selected developing countries an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills through study in specific subject areas which will assist in the development in your home country. You can apply to Unitec for academic entry and if successful, we will forward your application for an NZDS scholarship.
The Skills Organisation - Short Term Training Awards
The Skills Organisation NZ - Short Term Training Awards (STTA) is funded under the New Zealand Aid Programme, the New Zealand Government's international aid and development programme.
